Fill A Tank 2025: Fueling Health, One Ride at a Time

Across Alabama, many families face the heartbreaking reality of not being able to get to the doctor—simply because they don’t have a reliable ride. Kid One Transport exists to change that.

Every day, we provide free, life-saving transportation for children and expectant mothers who need access to essential health care. Whether it’s dialysis, cancer treatment, prenatal care, or routine check-ups, a full tank of gas can mean the difference between missed care and meaningful healing.

Meet Latrica

Latrica is a 15-year-old from Gadsden who has been traveling to Birmingham for dialysis three times a week for the past three years. Her family couldn’t manage the cost of gas or rely on their vehicle to make the trip consistently—until they found Kid One.

“Kid One makes it a whole lot easier to access my child’s care,” says her father, Robert.

Because of Kid One, Latrica hasn’t missed a single treatment.

It costs $60 to Fill A Tank, and each full tank powers the journey for children like Latrica. This year, our goal is to raise $9,000, enough to fill 150 tanks and fund hundreds of critical rides.
