Donations

Kid One is funded through the generosity of individuals, corporations and civic groups in Alabama. We receive funds through private foundations and governmental funds earmarked for transportation. We also have many special events and fundraisers to keep our vehicles on the road. Kid One is the only service in our state that provides sick and poor children transportation to medical care. For so many, Kid One is the only avenue that they can turn to for transportation for their children.

There are thousands more children that need Kid One, but without additional funding, they will never receive such support. That’s why there’s a renewed urgency for support from our community, so that Kid One can continue to provide transportation to the thousands of children needing medical care.

Today’s increased fuel prices make it even more difficult for Kid Ones to continue to meet existing needs while, at the same time, prohibit us from being able to reach the thousands of other children in need. Kid One needs your help today. A gift of $500 will provide gas for one wheelchair van for one month; and a gift of $100 will fill the tank one time. A gift of $50 will fill the tank of one of our 7-passenger minivans. Your gift will ensure Alabama’s children remain on the road to better health!

There are many ways to get involved with Kid One. You can support Kid One financially either through monthly giving, a multi-year pledge, a planned gift or a one-time contribution or sponsorship. You can earmark your investment for you own region, designate it for another region in need or leave it open to be used wherever the need is greatest.
